Chapters in medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, disease processes, pharmacology, English grammar and slang, punctuation, transcription technology, industry news, confidentiality and ethics are provided. AMERIPHIL provides all training units available from the SUM program, a comprehensive, proven and tested program from Health Professions Institute (HPI). Medical transcription service owners (MTSOs), editors, MTs and MDs with decades of combined experience developed the curriculum!

Our self-paced course takes an average of 6 months, which includes thousands of minutes of physician dictations and thousands of reports in all the subspecialties of medicine and surgery. Students are required to transcribe thousands of minutes of dictated material.
